Safe Family Blog
As we approach winter, we're also unfortunately approaching cold and flu season. Now is the time to take action and keep your family safe from hurtful germs and viruses. There are a lot of different things you can do to protect your family from germs. Following a few of these tips won't take very much time at all, and can go a long way in keeping your family safe.
One specific thing you can do before winter hits is to sanitize items in the house that all members of the household touch on a daily basis. One such thing would be doorknobs. This one is pretty obvious. Take some sanitizing wipes and kill those germs on the doorknobs, as your hands can generally be the germiest part of the body. In addition to doorknobs, also sanitize other knobs throughout the house, such as sink knobs and toilet handles.
Another item to add to your fall cleaning to do list is to wash all of the pillows in your house. As you would guess, spending a third of the day every day on your pillow means it will get a little dirty after time passes. Don't forget about this, as leaving a pillow unclean for prolonged amounts of time greatly increases the odds of getting sick. After getting sick and feeling better, that would be another excellent time to wash pillows so that way you're getting rid of another potential source of those germs that got you sick in the first place.
